The Doctors Vallee have worked together since graduating from Texas A&M where they were classmates. Their careers have included military service, the USDA, shelter medicine, and large and small animal private practice. They’ve grown The Animal Clinic @ Mission Square for the past 10 years.
Jack Vallee, DVM
Dr. Jack is a native East Texan with a rural background. He grew up raising and showing Angus cattle and was very active in the FFA. His success at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo garnered him a scholarship to Texas A&M where he pursued his undergraduate and veterinary degrees.
Dr. Jack has developed and pursued his passion for veterinary dentistry. He is a member of the American Veterinary Dental Association and has attended numerous Continuing Education courses conducted by Board Certified Veterinary Dentists. His exemplary surgical skills has earned him the role of primary surgeon at the hospital.
Melissa Vallee, DVM
Dr. Melissa comes from a military background and an animal-loving family. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Zoology before transferring to Texas A&M for veterinary school where she received the Feline Practitioner of the Year Award and graduated 3rd in her class.
Dr. Melissa’s passion is preventive medicine and cytology. She has attended numerous Continuing Education Courses in this field. Most of her time is spent in medicine: diagnosing and treating sick animals and keeping the healthy ones healthy with preventive medicine.
Tammy Doan, DVM
Dr. Doan joined the ACMS family in 2007. Dr. Doan sees patients on Thursday afternoons and all day on Fridays. She is also our relief vet when the Vallees are out of town. She is a local Midlander, and spends her time away from the clinic with her family.
Miranda grew up in Ackerly, TX graduating from Sands High School in 2009. She graduated Midland College with her AAS in Veterinary Technology in 2011 when she started working for us in October. She has passed her Texas State Boards and will be taking her Veterinary Technician National Exam in September 2012 to receive her Registered Veterinary Technician license. Miranda continues to further her education learning in the field and being a hard worker. She spends her time away from the clinic playing sports and with her friends, family, and 3 dogs; a chihuahua mix named Demetri, a pomeranian mix whose named pixie and a pitt bull named Jade.
Mariza has been with the clinic since 2011, after graduating Lee High in Midland, Tx. She then went on and graduated from Midland College to receive her Associates in Science. She continues her learning at UTPB as she “slowly” works towards a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. She has a background in computer technology, Mariza is also our resident IT person. On her time away from us, she enjoys time with her family including her Yorkie named Izabelle. Mariza is a very outgoing person, and loves to work with people and their pets.
